Jabberwocky
©2007 by Julie McDaniel, Arlington 90x90
I started this quilt many years ago when I was given an old sewing machine and I decided to make a copy of my great-grandmother's quilt. I had no pattern and no experience quilting, so made it up as I went. Who knew that quarter inch seam allowances are standard? I used half inch instead. Many friends contributed their old jeans and I chose the Jabberwocky poem by Lewis Carroll to embroider. I am very happy to have finally completed this quilt. Denim, new and scraps, hand embroidered, machine quilted.
