Summer Stream

This collage quilt began during a folded flower workshop at the Button Box. My scene came about after I fell in love with the background fabric. I pieced in several other Japanese fabrics, sewed down origami folded flowers and stems made from narrow fabric tubes, added tulle and sparkly gems to embellish the stream. I also highlighted areas with several kinds of shiny metallic threads and beads. Machine Quilted.
